Abstract

The principle of legal certainty is one of the fundamental principles in the judicial system, which ensures that every judge's decision must provide clarity and certainty regarding the legal status of the disputing parties. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the principle of legal certainty in judges' decisions in the settlement of civil disputes at the Raba Bima District Court. The method used is a normative juridical approach with case studies of several civil decisions that have permanent legal force. The results of the study indicate that although in general the judges' decisions at the Raba Bima District Court have referred to applicable legal norms, there are still inconsistencies in legal considerations that have the potential to create legal uncertainty for the parties. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the professionalism and consistency of judges in applying legal principles, especially the principle of legal certainty, to ensure justice and legal protection for the community.
